Kristen Stewart viene pesantemente attaccata ed altro nel nuovo film sull’esercito americano cui sta prendendo parte.
Secondo un nuovo articolo di Hollywood Life, la protagonista femminile della saga di Twilight, Kristen Stewart, è finalmente di nuovo a lavoro nel ruolo di Amy Cole, una ragazza dell’esercito, nella nuova pellicola intitolata “Camp X-Ray”. Pare che il personaggio di Kristen sarà pesantemente attaccata nel film, le sputano e le vengono gettati addosso rifiuti umani (feci). Sarà veramente orribile il modo in cui il suo personaggio verrà trattato.

La trama iniziale del film recita così: “essendo scappata dalla sua soffocante piccola città arruolandosi, Cole (Kristen Stewart) spera di essere mandata in missione in Iraq. Al contrario, è mandata a Guantanamo. Accolta con odio e abusi dagli uomini musulmani in carico della base, Cole si trova a forgiare una strana amicizia con Ali, che è stato imprigionato a Guantanamo per otto anni”.
È anche riportato da una delle loro fonti che Kristen potrebbe effettivamente tornare bionda per questo ruolo e il tutto diventerà alquanto violento, quindi, la faccenda dovrebbe essere abbastanza interessante.
La fonte afferma: “Kristen recita nel ruolo di Amy Cole, una donna dell’esercito. Questo ruolo è abbastanza intenso visto che si trova a dover affrontare le discriminazioni dovute all’essere donna. Le viene sputato e le vengono gettati addosso rifiuti umani. Lei è “una di loro” dal momento che fa parte dell’esercito, beve birra e indossa i voluminosi vestiti mimetici.
Ad un certo punto, il personaggio di Kristen affronta alcune scene aggressive in cui prende a calci un uomo nell’inguine e poi ne colpisce un altro col gomito. Il detenuto con cui finisce per fare amicizia la chiama “Bionda” quindi lei dovrebbe, in teoria, tingersi i capelli di biondo per questo ruolo. Il personaggio di Kristen ha anche una scena veramente intensa che include un pesante pianto convulso.

Kristen Stewart to get majorly attacked & more in new Army drama movie she’s doing. According to a new report from Hollywood Life, former Twilight Saga main chick, Kristen Stewart, is finally heading back to work to play some army chick,named Amy Cole, in a new drama flick, titled, “Camp X-Ray.” And it turns out that Kristen’s character is going to get heavily attacked in the film by getting spit on,and having human waste thrown on her. It’s just going to be awful how her character gets treated.

The initial synopsis for the new film, reads like this: “Having escaped from her suffocating small town into the military, Cole (Kristen Stewart) had been hoping for a tour of duty in Iraq. Instead, she’s sent to Guantanamo. Met with hatred and abuse from the Muslim men in her charge, Cole finds herself forging an odd friendship with Ali, who has been imprisoned at Gitmo for eight years.”

It’s also reported from one of their sources that Kristen might actually go blonde for this role ,and will get quite violent,so that should be interesting. The source stated, “Kristen plays an army woman named Amy Cole. This role is pretty intense, as she faces some discrimination for being a woman. She gets spit on and gets human waste thrown on her. She’s “one of the guys,” as she’s in the army, chugging beer and wearing camouflaged baggy clothing.

At one point, Kristen’s character has some aggressive scenes in which she kicks a guy in the gut and then hits another with her elbow. The detainee she ends up befriending calls her ‘Blondie,’ so she’ll likely be dying her hair blonde for the role. Kristen’s character also has a really emotional scene involving a heaving, convulsing cry.

It’s emotional, physical and overall more serious and intense than her roles in the Twilight franchise. Also, Kristen definitely kisses a guy in this movie!” No release date has been revealed yet. The extras, photo doubles, and stand-ins for the film's stars will be cast closer to the start of shooting. Production is set to take place in Los Angeles, CA and will begin principal photography on July 15, 2013. "Camp X-Ray" centers on female soldier Cole, who joins the military so that she can escape her suffocating small town. Although she hopes for a tour of duty in Iraq, she is instead shipped off to the outpost known as Guantanamo, a temporary detention facility at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp of Joint Task Force Guantanamo on the U.S. Naval Base in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. Cole is met with hatred and abuse from the Muslim men in her charge, and finds herself forging an odd friendship with Ali, who has been imprisoned at Gitmo for eight years. While serving her country to the best of her abilities at Bravo Block, she is also subject to the attempted affections of her superior officer, Sergeant Randy without any action or sympathy from Commanding Officer Colonel Drummond at Gitmo.

Starring in "Camp X-Ray" is Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee Kristen Stewart playing the lead role of Cole. In addition to her SAG Award nomination, Stewart has also won three People's Choice Awards, eight Teen Choice Awards, four Kids' Choice Awards, a Young Artist Award, seven MTV Movie Awards, and a BAFTA Award. This role marks Kristen Stewart's first serious foray into possible Academy Award nomination territory under the auspices of four of the best producers in modern Hollywood. Prior to the start of shooting "Camp X-Ray" Stewart will play the lead role of Delphi in the feature film "The Big Shoe" directed by Steven Shainberg. EXCLUSIVE: Kristen Stewart has committed to star in back to back projects shooting this summer. She will star in Camp X-Ray, a politically charged drama written and directed by Peter Sattler, and she will also star in the Olivier Assayas-directed Sils Maria.

In Camp X-Ray, Stewart will play a young soldier who escapes her suffocating small town by joining the military, only to find that she isn’t going for a tour of duty in Iraq as she hoped. Instead, she’s sent to Guantanamo. Met with hatred and abuse from the Muslim men in her charge, she forges an odd friendship with a young man who has been imprisoned at Gitmo for eight years. The film’s being produced by Gina Kwon and Sophia Lin, and exec produced by David Gordon Green, Lindsay Williams and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein. Production begins late summer.

Stewart will join Juliette Binoche and Chloe Moretz in Sils Maria, the CG Cinema-produced English language film that Assayas wrote for his Summer Hours star Binoche. The film explores middle age and that introspective period where one questions how they’ve spent their life so far and what they’ve accomplished. The title refers to the Swiss setting, and Stewart plays the assistant to Binoche’s character, an actress who becomes obsessed with a young actress (Moretz) playing the role that made the older actress famous when she was young. The film shoots this summer in Europe. IFC acquired this film for distribution just before Cannes.

Stewart is repped by Gersh and McKuin Frankel Whitehead, and Sattler is repped by UTA, Gotham Group and attorney Adam Kaller.

Kristen Stewart Off To Camp X-Ray
She's also on for Sils Maria

Though she may still return to bigger-scale films for the Snow White And The Huntsman sequel (nothing seems official about that idea yet), Kristen Stewart is sticking firmly with indies this summer, signing on to Camp X-Ray and Oliver Assayas’ new pic Silas Maria.

For Camp X-Ray, a serious and politically-minded drama, she’ll play a young soldier who joins the military as a way of escaping the small town she grew up in. Yet once through boot camp, she discovers that she isn’t going to serve in Iraq as she thought, and is instead posted to guard Guantanamo Bay.

Facing hatred and abuse from the prisoners she’s guarding, she survives by building a friendship with a young man who has been locked up in the place for eight years. Peter Sattler wrote and will direct the movie, which has David Gordon Green’s backing as producer.

After that, she’ll move on to Silas Maria, which will find her co-starring with Chloe Moretz and Juliette Binoche, and taking over a role vacated by Mia Wasikowska.

The title refers to the film's Swiss location – it's a hamlet on Lake Silas – and the story involves Binoche's aging actress who is "obsessed with her past choices", both personal and professional. Tied up in her life re-evaluation is the young up-and-comer who's now successfully reinterpreting a particular role that she once made her own. Moretz would be that newbie, named Joanne. Stewart’s role is as Binoche's assistant, who must deal with her boss’s outburst and foibles.

While Assayas wrote this for Binoche, who worked with him on Summer Hours and will likely do a great job, we’d almost be more excited if Sissy Spacek took the lead role, purely for the meta entertainment of two generations of Carrie White on screen…

‘Sils Maria’ Adds Kristen Stewart; Actress to Lead ‘Camp X-Ray’

Whenever Olivier Assayas ended up seeing David Cronenberg‘s Cosmopolis — as a publicly stated fan of the Canadian helmer, little doubt as to such a viewing really exits — a bright idea must have entered his mind. If the man who gave us eXistenZ can earn a swath of the tween spotlight simply for casting a Twilight star, why shouldn’t the same happen for his own production? It’s the simplest path to respectable notice.

Now the most commercial production of his entire career, Sils Maria has added to its ranks Kristen Stewart, a star of the aforementioned franchise who still needs a few strong post-vamp roles under her belt. (Snow White and the Huntsman scars still remain.) She made a fine choice: this meta-textual project is one of our most anticipated in development, aided in no small part by the unpredictable combination of Juliette Binoche, Chloe Moretz, Assayas, and this latest addition. As if allowing the world’s greatest actress (that would be the first listed in the previous sentence, natch) to play herself isn’t a strong-enough point. [TheWrap ]

Although the position falling into Stewart‘s lap — i.e., an assistant to the aging performer — was once said to be Mia Wasikowska‘s, the Australian actress is noted to have never been formally attached. Thus, now, Sils Maria has undergone a notable switch of presence — a less-than-perfect one, at that, but doable nonetheless. If this move gets a wider berth of people experiencing Assayas‘ cinema without any compromises on his own part, a trade-off of sorts might as well be accepted.

Sils Maria will begin shooting this summer, followed by a presumptive 2014 release from IFC Films.

Also entering her schedule is yet another indie turn: Camp X-Ray, a military / political drama from feature debut writer-director Peter Sattler. Starring as a young woman who joins the army as some form of personal respite, Stewart will go in a darker direction when her character is sent for guard duty at Guantanamo Bay. During her stay at the controversial Cuba-based prison, the protagonist finds herself bonding with a man who’s been in custody for eight years, surely now pleased to have some friendly company in detainment.

Camp X-Ray will also start filming in the next couple of months, with Sophia Lin and Gina Kwon on producing duties; David Gordon Green will executive produce.

Kristen Stewart is set to spend her summer starring in Peter Sattler's indie drama "Camp X-Ray," as well as Olivier Assayas' next movie "Sils Maria," the "Twilight" star's publicist has confirmed to TheWrap.

Stewart joins Juliette Binoche and Chloe Moretz in "Sils Maria," which will find her playing the assistant for a veteran actress (Binoche) who becomes obsessed with a younger actress (Moretz) who has been cast in the role that made her a star years before.

CG Cinema is producing the English-language movie, which "Carlos" director Assayas wrote specifically for his "Summer Hours" star Binoche. Production will take place this summer in Europe, and IFC Films acquired U.S. distribution rights in advance of Cannes.

Deadline had initially reported that Mia Wasikowska would play the younger actress but that report proved premature.

"Camp X-Ray" is a completely different vehicle for Stewart, who will play a young woman who decides to escape her small town and join the military, hoping to be deployed to Iraq. Instead, she is sent to Guantanamo, where she forges an unlikely friendship with a young man who has been imprisoned there for nearly a decade.

Gina Kwon and Sophia Lin are producing "Camp X-Ray," while David Gordon Green is exec producing with Lindsay Williams and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein.

Stewart is repped by Gersh, while UTA reps Sattler.

Deadline first reported Stewart's involvement in "Sils Maria," while Production Weekly tweeted the "Camp X-Ray" news several weeks ago.

In Camp X-Ray, the actress will portray a soldier sent to serve at the prison in Guantanamo Bay.

Production is scheduled to begin in late summer, with Peter Sattler directing.

Stewart is also slated to join Sils Maria, in which she’d play the assistant to an older actress (Juliette Binoche) who becomes obsessed with a young performer (Chloe Moretz) who plays the role that helped launch the older star’s career.

Olivier Assayas is directing, with production also getting underway this summer.

Kristen Stewart joins Guantanamo film 'Camp X-Ray', drama 'Sils Maria'

Kristen Stewart has lined up her next two movie projects.

The Twilight Saga actress has committed to back-to-back shoots on Camp X-Ray and Sils Maria, reports Deadline.

Camp X-Ray, written and directed by Peter Sattler, follows a young female soldier sent to Guantanamo, where she faces abuse from the men in her charge and strikes up an unlikely friendship with a prisoner.

Stewart will then star in Olivier Assayas's Sils Maria opposite Juliette Binoche and Chloe Moretz.

The film tells the story of an older star (Binoche) who becomes obsessed with a young actress (Moretz) playing the part that originally made her famous. Stewart will play the assistant to Binoche's character in a role previously filled by Mia Wasikowska.

Stewart is also expected to return for the 2015 sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman.

il primo film mi sembra di averlo inquadrato, il secondo, uhm non so ancora, per il momento sembrano comunque due ruoli diversi per intensità...

Kristen Stewart Heads to Guantanamo Bay for Indie Drama 'Camp X-Ray'

Stewart has two films set to shoot this summer, "Camp X-Ray" and "Sils Maria." In the former, she's going to star as a soldier assigned to GITMO, where an "unlikely bond" forms between her and one of the detainees. The title refers to one of the more controversial facilities at Guantanamo Bay.

"Sils Maria" is definitely arthouse fare. Olivier Assayas wrote the script and will direct Juliette Binoche as Maria Enders, a legendary actress who stars in a play opposite a younger, troubled star played by Chloe Moretz. Moretz's character is taking on the role that the aging actress once played. Stewart is replacing Mia Wasikowska as Enders's assistant.

Although Stewart scored one post-"Twilight" blockbuster with "Snow White and the Huntsman," she's mostly been focusing on indies. Even between "Twilight" sequels, she had roles in smaller, more daring films like "Adventureland," "Welcome to the Rileys," and "The Runaways." Of course, her performance as Marylou in last year's "On the Road" was a big draw for fans that wanted to see the young actress shake it up.

Both films are set to begin production this summer.
